Stuart Heaver , professional writer based in Hong Kong

Stuart Heaver's interest in journalism was first aroused while serving as a junior Naval officer, when he was attached to the UK Ministry of Defence, public relations office, in London to help the government manage a national news story. He has also worked closely with national newspapers, radio and TV, as a press officer, for SSAFA, the UK’s oldest armed forces charity.

In addition to his work for online and print media, Stuart is also frequently engaged by corporate clients for special media projects with business, historical or cultural connections to Hong Kong and mainland China.

Originally, from Kent, England, Stuart has two grown up sons in the UK and lives with his wife, Sarah and his dog, Lola on one of Hong Kong’s quiet outlying islands, where he remains an ardent student of Cantonese and is a keen sailor, diver and swimmer.
